Sara Evans is back in a big way. She just released a new video for the first single off her latest album. “Marquee Signs” explores a world where people come with warnings. If that were the case, we would be able to avoid all the people who intend to harm us.
“Marquee Signs” comes from Evans’ new album “Words.” She released the album from her own recording studio, Born to Fly Records. According to The Boot, Evans released the album back in July and teamed up with co-producer Mark Bright to create the 14-track album.
“Words” is Evans’ eighth studio album, and “Marquee Signs is the first single and video release from that album. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Evans said it is a good reflection of who she is as an artist.
“I think we all agreed that ‘Marquee Sign’ was a perfect blend of everything about what this album represents and who I am now as an artist and a writer,” she said.

Naturally, this isn’t Evans’ first attempt at making great music. She was 26 when her first album, “Three Chords and the Truth” came out in 1997. She quickly released a second album the next year and began to build her career. This year she opened her own label.
One of the great things about this new album is that she brought her family along with her. According to CmChat, Evans’ siblings sang harmony with her on the song “Night Light.” Her daughter also sang with her on “Marquee Signs.” Another song on the album is about her son who is preparing to start his senior year of high school.
Over the years, Evans has created a pretty distinct sound for herself. Her deep voice is unlike the other female singers you hear on country music today. She also has a unique style and flair you won’t see with other artists. The closest artist to her style and sound is Gretchen Wilson.
She also has a knack for creating pretty memorable songs. Her songs “Suds in the Bucket” and “Born to Fly” both offer an upbeat sound and happy message. On the flip side, she is also able to get in touch with her romantic side with songs like “I Could Not Ask for More” and “A Real Fine Place to Start.” These soulful ballads are the perfect love songs, and you can hear the passion in her voice.
But, the songs that really round out Evans as an artist are songs like “A Little Bit Stronger.” This song has a powerful message of love and loss and moving on after your heart is broken. All in all, Evans is able to encompass all aspects of human emotion through her music. One of the best things about Evans is that she has always been able to pour her heart and soul into her music.
Currently, Evans is celebrating the release of her new album and video with a tour. She currently has a handful of dates left on the tour with dates scheduled throughout late summer and fall 2017. You can check out the full dates of the tour on her website.
