It is official: We get to see Sugarland back together next year. This week, the country music duo announced that they are going back on tour together in 2018. The pair announced the news on the Bobby Bones show earlier this week.
While we do not know much about the upcoming tour, dates or the new music, we do know that Sugarland is planning a tour next year. During the interview with Bobby Bones, Jennifer Nettles had this to say.
“We’re going on tour, guys! 2018! There’s going to be new music and new live shows.”
Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush first started the rumors earlier this year when they made a surprise appearance at the CMA Awards. They showed up to present the award for Country Music Duo of the Year and insinuated they would be making new music together very soon.
After the show, they went on to perform together at a small club for their fans. Naturally, this performance sparked rumors that they had something in the works, which Nettles and Bush were quick to confirm.
Nettles and Bush have both been focusing on their solo careers for the past several years. They took a break from being a duo after a tragic stage collapse in 2013. Seven people died during that collapse, which took place just before the duo was set to perform.
Now, it looks like the two are ready to make some new music together. Pretty much everyone is hoping they can jump back in right where they left off and create even better music than they did in the past. Hopefully, we will know more about the new music and tour soon.
